Workers Compensation

Integrity, Vision, Achievement

If you have been injured in an accident at work or you have been injured on your way to or from work, then you are likely to be entitled to receive workers' compensation benefits (which includes the payment of wages). The payment of these benefits is regulated by the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act. Further information is provided below under the heading Statutory Claims.

You may also have a right to sue your employer and/or some other person, if your injures were caused by the negligence of your employer, a co worker, or some other person. These claims are known as Common Law Claims.
