Just like Powers of Attorney give you the ability to appoint someone to look after your personal affairs if a time comes in the future where you are unable to do so for yourself, Advance Health Directives give you an option to ensure your wishes are met when it comes to medical treatment.

An Advance Health Directive is a document where you can state your wishes about how you would like your body to be dealt with in the event that you are sick or injured in the future, and are not in a state where you can make such decisions.
